Diller maintained her youth and beauty with her lively spirit

Sassy comedienne with outrageous hair and style Phyllis Diller chrome hearts sunglasses passed away Monday August 20; she was 95.
With her crass humor, quirky antics, and infectious smoker's laugh, Diller lead the way for all female stand up.
Diller maintained her youth and beauty with her lively spirit and her notorious facelift addiction. Way before Katy Perry and Nicki Minaj, Diller was the one known for donning wild and wacky wigs.  Her style was influential on comedy and fashion.

Always poking fun at herself, Diller would also make jokes about her personal style. She usually had a face of colorful heavy makeup and wore eccentric outfits. Her wardrobe consisted of floral dresses, fur coats, chiffon blouses, and sequined gowns. During her act she would say "I once wore a peekaboo blouse. People would peek and then they'd boo." Diller definitley brought the "funny" to fashion.
Despite her self-inflicted jabs, her style chrome hearts jewelry sale definitely earned her points with the fashion crowd. In 2003, Diller tied the knot with PAPER magazine's Mr. Mickey in a wild and crazy editorial for a special Las Vegas-themed issue. The magazine regards the spread as one of their all-time favorites.

"In Mickey's article, Diller reveals that she was rocking a punk look from the start, recalling that she wore 'spiky hair in strange colors in 1959,' long before Cyndi Lauper or anyone else trying to claim that title, and talks about a grade school teacher who humiliated her for wearing an adventurous outfit to school 'And she's dead!,' Diller laughs triumphantly."
What caught my attention was the button on the side of the web page that proclaimed, "I'm a Mormon and I like clothes."
But what sealed my obsession was the article on chrome hearts rings sale "Summer Dresses on a Budget," with a special section on nautical dresses, none over $50 and (most vitally) none that would ever be seen on a character on any show that includes the three dirty words "Real Housewives of."
