This being my first time in Miami, I can't tell you how excited I was to finally check out The Webster -- their selection is just so spot-on. Bal Harbour Shops, which, besides having an oasis-like environment, has such a strong lineup of stores. No wonder I lost track of time there before rushing off to the airport!

I believe that Mr. Valli is a great talent and has more than proven himself during his tenure as a designer, but he just needs to stay focused on the clothes and not the subtexts as it is these “stories/inspirations” that tend to take designers down the wrong path. And yes, I do believe that he has a client for these clothes because he has built up his “fan club” from square one.
I am all for that “ruffling” around the face as it reminds me of some of the great photography that appeared in Vogue during the 70s, no tot mention that it is the ultimate feminine touch except that there seemed to be an abundance of ruffles that appeared all over one’s body. Least flattering amongst them was the apron effect he created by “running” a deep ruffle across chrome hearts t shirts on sale the hem and up the side seams. Then, there is a matter of the stiff bell shaped skirt that seems to be popping up on couture runways and that wasn’t a needed extra here nor the oddly sculptural leaf jewelry nor the butterflies.The underwire is sewn in along the band and it is below the breast, so it cannot provide much support unless there is something to lift it up. This is what the shoulder straps do. For a heavier breast, the wire helps to give extra support, but by itself, it cannot give any support without the help of the shoulder straps.
